Outdoor First Aid

(Venues & Bookings)

First Aid in the outdoor environment brings its own set of problems besides those of basic casualty care. Weather conditions may make a bad situation worse and paramedic support may be some distance away.

Our outdoor first aid courses look at how to manage 'remote' incidents - i.e. where ambulance support is more than 10 minutes away. The courses are tailored to specific sectors (e.g. outdoor pursuits, forestry and agriculture) and so are suitable for anyone who works in the outdoors:

  • Outdoor Instructors (e.g. Mountain leaders, canoe instructors, Duke of Edinburgh leaders, etc.) This course meets the requirements of the National Governing Bodies for outdoor instructors (e.g. UKMLTB, BCU, etc).
  • Forestry & Arboriculture.
  • Agricultural Workers.
  • Field Staff (e.g. engineers, ecologists, surveyors, etc).
  • ...and, anyone whose work takes them away from the urban setting.
Course trainers are professionals who have worked in a variety of outdoor industries and who can therefore deliver training that is relevant and based upon real life experiences.
