First Aid for Humanitarian Field Workers...
(Targeted at NGO's, United Nations, Disaster Relief & other Humanitarian Agencies)
This course is tailored for personnel who work in, or visit, challenging environments around the globe where professional medical care may be some distance away.
The course will look at first aid in remote locations, managing incidents and other specific topics common to the type of hazards faced by field workers.
Courses are generally run for individual clients although organisations are welcome to combine resources to run training with other agencies with similar requirements.
Courses can often be delivered on-site at client premises or alternatively at a venue to suit your needs. This means that cost can be kept low for your organisation.
As well as becoming competent in first aid, candidates will practice managing challenging incidents which can improve confidence and develop skills that are invaluable to all field workers.
For the certificated course, training lasts a minimum of 16 hours, normally for 2 consecutive days but can be separate days or 4 x 4 hours sessions. We are looking to develop a close relationship with our clients in order that we may deliver courses that are relevant to their staff.
Cost:
- Groups of up to 6 people: £950
- Groups of 6 to 12 People £1600
- Groups of 13 to 24 People £2100
Cost includes manuals and certification and all training materials.
Cost excludes venue and meals (however, we can arrange these for you).
Demonstration Day
We occassionally hold demonstration days so interested parties can see how we work and why we believe our courses offer the most practical training available. Please contact us to express an interest in attending one of these events.
